Jeau Vinatieri named MSFL Special Teams Player of the Week
Vinatieri was recognized by the Midwest Sprint Football League as the Special Teams Player of the Week in Week 1.
Whiting, IN – Calumet College of St. Joseph kicker Jeau Vinatieri was announced as the Midwest Sprint Football League's Special Teams Player of the Week on Tuesday, September 16.
The sophomore scored the first points of the 2025 season for the Crimson Wave in rout to an 18-0 victory over Quincy on Saturday, September 13. Vinatieri nailed a 48-yard field goal in the first quarter, which is the longest field goal made in MSFL history.
Later in the game Vinatieri made one more field goal from 35-yards out. Going 2-for-2 on field goals Saturday marked the third game of Vinatieri's career that he didn't miss a field goal.
Vinatieri and the Crimson Wave will return to the field Saturday, September 20 for their home opener against Oakland City.
