Slawinski and Davis earn all-CCAC recognition for 2025-26 season
As the post season awards were announced Tuesday, March 3 for the 2025-26 men's basketball season, both J.Caleb Slawinski and Quindarius Davis received CCAC honors.
Chicago, IL – The Calumet College of St. Joseph men's basketball team had two players, graduate student J.Caleb Slawinski and senior Quindarius Davis, receive recognition by the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) as the post season men's basketball awards were announced Tuesday.
Slawinski was named to the all-CCAC second-team and Davis was listed as an honorable mention.
In his two seasons with CCSJ, Slawinski has been a second-team representative each year. Compared to his first season with the Crimson Wave to this past season, the Chicago, Illinois native averaged three more points while shooting a higher percentage from the field and 3-point range.
Slawinski averaged 15.1 points and led the Wave in rebounding for the second consecutive year at 7.2 per game. He shot 49.1 percent from the field and posted six double-doubles this season. He also had two games where he was one rebound shy of a double-double. The 6'7 forward had his career-high on senior night against Saint Xavier scoring 37 points, shooting 11-of-13 from the field and 15-of-19 from the free throw line.
The Benton Harbor, Michigan native Davis was one of the best scorers in the CCAC his third year with the Crimson Wave, averaging a team-best 17.6 points on 45.9 percent from the field and 33 percent from behind the arc, in 22 games played. Only starting in 11 of his 22 games, Davis managed to score 20+ points in eight of those games, including a career-high 33 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the field with five made 3-pointers vs Holy Cross on January 24.
Despite being listed at 5'11, Davis was the second-leading rebounder for CCSJ, averaging six per game. He also averaged 2.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game, which was the second highest output on the team in each category this season.
These two players helped the Crimson Wave win double-digit games for the third consecutive season.
