Track and Field Compete at Benedictine Relays
The Crimson Wave men and women's track and field teams competed in the Benedictine Relays this weekend. Despite two cold and windy days the Crimson Wave produced a great performance throughout the weekend.
Grace Dwyer broke the school record in the 3000m while the women's DMR relay team placed second overall. Harley Sutton and Roni Strain posted person bests in the high jump and hammer throw.
"Overall, this was a great weekend and we saw so much potential for the future of CCSJ track and field. We held our own amongst D3, D2 and nationally ranked NAIA schools. The field was very competitive, and the weather was a force to be reckoned with on both days. Despite the external factors, we accomplished some great finishes and came home with a lot of personal bests. Both men's and women's teams left the field proud of their accomplishments and excited to keep this momentum going heading into conference in three weeks" said coach Jackie Torres.
