CCSJ Cross Country signs Hammond's Vanderweide

Griffith, IN – The Calumet College of St. Joseph cross country program has signed Isaac Vanderweide to the incoming class for the 2026-27 season.

Vanderweide, a 6'0 distance runner from Griffith, Indiana, hasn't decided on his major yet, but chose CCSJ because, "the scholarship and the opportunity to continue playing sports." 

At Griffith High School, Vanderweide played on the soccer team and ran on the track and field team for two years. Next year with Calumet College, he said he is looking forward to running on the cross country team.
