Four Crimson Wave named to 2025 CCAC Softball All-Conference, team awarded Champions of Character
Chicago, IL – The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) released the 2025 Softball Postseason Awards, and four members of the Calumet College of St. Joseph softball team were named to the All-CCAC teams on Wednesday evening.
Earning All-CCAC First-Team recognition for the third consecutive season was senior first baseman Adelina Staden from Romeoville, Illinois. Staden led CCSJ in hits with a .482 batting average, an on-base percentage of .571, and a slugging percentage of .723. Playing in all 44 games for the Crimson Wave, Staden posted 66 hits, 19 doubles, one triple, four home runs and 44 RBIs. She has also drawn a team-high 24 walks, along with a team-best 99 total bases.
Defensively, Staden has made a team-high 261 putouts with 15 assists and just five errors for a .982 fielding percentage and being a part of nine double plays.
She was also awarded the CCAC Player of the Week award back on April 1 for her stellar performance of going 9-for-13 at the plate in four games, producing nine hits, two home runs, nine RBIs and five runs scored.
Aubrie Morales, a sophomore outfielder from Dyer, Indiana, earned her first All-CCAC First-Team honors after being on second-team last season. She finished the season with a .352 batting average, an on-base percentage of .382 and a slugging percentage of .436, all improvements from her freshman year. Morales recorded 58 hits, a team-high 48 runs, 12 doubles, one triple, 11 RBIs and a team-best nine stolen bases in 44 games played.
Kylee Slack, a senior utility player and right-handed pitcher from Charlotte Hall, Maryland, earned All-CCAC Second-Team honors. Slack finished the season with a .387 batting average, an on-base percentage of .422 and a .633 slugging percentage. She also tallied 58 hits, 20 doubles, one triple, five home runs, 44 RBIs and 95 total bases in 43 games.
At the mound, Slack threw 21 strikeouts in her 27.1 innings pitched.
Kelsey Lovelace, a freshman shortstop from Columbus, Indiana, also earned All-CCAC Second-Team honors. Lovelace completed her freshman campaign with a .340 batting average, an on-base percentage of .382 and a slugging percentage of .436. She has 78 total bases and has drawn 12 walks, along with 38 runs, 51 hits, 12 doubles, a team-high six triples, one home run and 35 RBIs.
Defensively, she has made 78 putouts with 104 assists for a .910 fielding percentage and being a part of 10 double plays.
The Crimson Wave softball team was also awarded the Champions of Character Team Award for the third year in a row. This award is meant to recognize student-athletes, coaches and citizens of character who exemplify five core values, beyond the playing field or the board room. Those core values are integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership. CCSJ has been recognized for its continuous efforts in displaying and honoring these core values.
