CCSJ Softball signs West Side's Hamblin

Whiting, IN – The Calumet College of St. Joseph softball program have signed Taylor Hamblin to the incoming class for the 2026-27 season.

Hamblin, a 5'9 utility player from West Side Leadership Academy, plans on majoring in kinesiology and chose CCSJ because, "I wanted to be close to home, but not to close. CCSJ also offered many programs and opportunities that I would love to be a part of."

Come next school year with the Crimson Wave, Hamblin said she's looking forward to meeting different people and learning more about herself as a person.

At West Side Leadership Academy, Hamblin was an A&B honor roll student her senior year. Throughout her time in high school, Hamblin played softball and basketball, and was a part of the drama and fashion club.
