Sprint Football signs Cortez of Pennsylvania

Topton, PA - Coach Novak signed Dylan Cortez of Topton, Pennsylvania for the Fall 2022 Sprint Football season. 

Cortez, a 5'11 Left Guard from Brandywine Heights High School, was awarded the Most Improved Football Player for the 2021 season and ran on the Track team. Cortez also made the Academic Honor Roll at Brandywine Heights. As an incoming Freshman, Cortez's major is undecided but said "I can't wait for all the new things coming to this school, especially the new football team."

The Crimson Wave Sprint Football team will be competing in their inaugural season in the Fall of 2022 in the Midwest Sprint Football League (MSFL). Sprint football has the same rules as standard American football except players must maintain a weight limit of 178 pounds. The Midwest Sprint Football League will be playing its inaugural season in the Fall of 2022 with 6 member schools competing, with Calumet College being one of the founding members.
