Portage, IN - Portage High School's Isaac Hegwood signed to play Sprint Football this upcoming fall. 

Hegwood, a 5'10 Saftey, is looking forward to "the new football program and being a part of the Crimson Wave family." Hegwood plans to major in Business Management while attending CCSJ. 

While playing for Portage, Hegwood received Duneland Athletic Conference All-Conference honors.

The Crimson Wave Sprint Football team will be competing in their inaugural season in the Fall of 2022 in the Midwest Sprint Football League (MSFL). Sprint football has the same rules as standard American football except players must maintain a weight limit of 178 pounds. The Midwest Sprint Football League will be playing its inaugural season in the Fall of 2022 with 6 member schools competing, with Calumet College being one of the founding members.
